關於陳秋山
陳秋山 Chiu San CHEN
曾在八零年代民歌西餐廳興盛的時期就成為餐廳駐唱的民歌手，後來的身分包含海外社會工作者、社會學領域博士候選人，最後在自由音樂人與瑜伽老師的身分中安棲下來。近年透過與各不同領域創作友人以相互分享的形式共同創作，將生活與社會眼見的現實化為音樂，一邊思考一邊唱著。
他的歌曲飽含從生命中活出的自在，彷彿走入市街小巷都能聽見的心聲；他的歌聲充滿輕緩的柔軟訴說，每每勾觸認真生活的人心底深處的共鳴。
About Chiu San Chen:
Chiu San is an indie musician with a day job as
a yoga teacher. He began his music career as a singer at folk-music restaurants
in the 1980s. After that, He had various life experiences such as NGO worker
and PhD candidate in cultural studies. In late 2016, he rekindled his passion
for music when some of his friends in social movement started to write poems he
strongly resonate with. Together with them, Chiu San seeks to use his music to
explore the multifaceted realities in today’s Taiwanese society: from the
absurd to the familiar.
關於《走唱人間》——穿行國台語的新民歌
《走唱人間》以12首歌情牽人間，每一首歌都是詞曲創作者以個人對自己與對社會的觀察與體會出發進行創作，特別是來自社會抗爭第一線所見的人們苦難的現實處境。〈如此這般〉涉及空污、〈俗物〉切入勞動問題、〈咱的愛攏相像〉唱同志的情感歷程；〈大地的骨肉〉與〈希望的枝枒〉關懷發展迷思對環境與人們的傷害；〈中年以後〉、〈無聊的人生〉、〈苦〉、〈父母心〉、〈想袂起來〉、〈最後的約會〉、〈你會拍毋見袂〉則勾勒人世間各種不同情感關係與人生體會。這張專輯承載的不只是個人，而是一群偶然聚集起來的朋友，在這無數現實令人窒息到不得不漫不經心（甚而絕望）的時代，共同創造一個充滿樂音的夢想。這些歌唱的就是我們身邊的世界。
秋山和朋友們的創作有「新民歌」的精神。在臺灣，「新民歌」可溯及1970年代，在西方民謠搖滾創作精神影響下，用自己的語言唱作自己的歌；在1980年代末到1990年代也有一波促使台語歌接上新社會意識的民謠搖滾化浪潮。
秋山曾經是唱盡他人癡情哀樂的民歌手，現在他是新民歌創作歌手。他和朋友們一起創作的新（心）民歌，希望能陪伴我們體會（呼吸）人生（四季變幻），樸實地和我們一齊行走人間。
About Rambling Balladeer:
Rambling Balladeer is an album with 12 songs
written mainly to respond to the human sufferings in today’s Taiwan, ranging
from air pollution (Such and such), poor working conditions (Cheap labor), gay
people’s woes (Love without discrimination), to the consequences of ruthless
developments (Twig of hope and Flesh of the Earth). In addition, reflections on
life and feelings in various relationships with significant others are
discerned in songs such as After middle age, This boring life, Dukkha,
Parenting, Can’t remember, Last dating, and Will you get lost.
Rambling Balladeer is a collective work by Chiu
San and friends who share their concerns about what kind of society we live in,
and what they want to leave behind for future generations.
